What's New
Established on 27 April 2009, the Information Fusion Centre (IFC) is a regional Maritime Security (MARSEC) centre hosted by the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) and situated at RSS Singapura – Changi Naval Base. The IFC aims tofacilitate information-sharing and collaboration between its partners to enhance MARSEC.

Over the last decade, the IFC has been at the forefront of providing actionable information to cue responses by regional and international navies, coast guardsand other maritime agencies to deal with the full range of MARSEC threats and incidents. This includes piracy, sea robbery, maritime terrorism, contraband smuggling, illegal fishing, irregular human migration, maritime incidents, cybersecurity and environmental security.
The IFC serves as an open and inclusive platform that brings together multinational and inter-agency collaboration to resolve common maritime security concerns. The IFC has more than 200 International Liaison Officers (ILOs) from 25countries have been deployed to the IFC, and 25 ILOs from 20 countries currently serve alongside 17 RSN personnel. The IFC has also established linkages with more than 150 operational centers from 58 countries globally.
The IFC is to collect and sense-make relevant White Shipping and maritime information in its Area of Interest, in order to produce accurate, reliable, impartial and actionable MARSEC information for related OPCENs and the shipping community, to achieve Safe and Secure Seas for All.
To be the centre of excellence for fusion and exchange of actionable maritime security information in the IFC's Area of Interest.
